Reflecting God’s Heart to our Communities

Not everyone can go on distant mission trips. But, we believe that no matter who you are, there is a way for you to get involved in missions. Here are some of the ways you can be a missionary right where you are.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Free one-on-one tutoring is offered to any adult in our community.  We would love to become your “English Partners,” and help you to improve your English.  According to each student’s preference, the tutor can include both conversation and grammar, speaking and/or writing, at any level of English skill, using your choice of 6 interactive workbooks.
Tutoring is 10:15-11:15 Sunday mornings,  plus an optional 11:15-11:30 Bible discussion with the same tutor.  You will be offered a free “Easy-to-Read Bible, if desired.
    Advance Registration Required:
Please contact us by Friday before your 1st Sunday with questions or your request to attend.

    Least of These

In this city, the capital of the free world, live people who are hungry, who are weary, and who are tired. There are people who need help. Some are fighting to survive on streets just blocks away from the White House and Capitol Building. Least of These DC (LOTDC) recognizes the opportunity here and strives to connect servants willing to help with those seeking it.

We visit friends on the streets of DC every Thursday, come rain, snow, or shine. We’ll deliver food, water, clothing, and special requests we receive. Volunteers take routes through the city covering the areas of Union Station, Chinatown, and McPherson Square.
