Loving God's Covenant
The people struggled to survive in their homeland after the exile. Families and marriages felt the tension. Marriage covenants were broken and many started unholy relationships. Marriage serves an important role in the story of God as a reflection of God's relationship with the people. It is used as a representation of His love for the people and as Jesus' relationship to the church. God loves his covenant with his people, and believers are called to reflect this.
From Series: "Malachi: Loving What God Loves"
This four-week series teaches us to love the things that God loves. Through the words of the prophet Malachi, we learn God's love for his people, his name, his covenant, and his messenger. These same passions are to be present in the lives of his people today.
Scripture References: Malachi 2:10-16
Related Topics: Discipleship, Spiritual Growth, Stewardship, Study by Book
