Fall 2010
We strive for classes that provide learning opportunities for everyone. You are welcome to attend any Adult Bible class that fits your interests. We have arranged our Sunday morning Bible classes to try to match family schedules. Therefore, we offer classes that are of greater interest to parents of school-age children at the same time that our congregation conducts classes for school-age children. We hope you find a class that is right for you.
Refreshments (coffee, tea, pastries) are available in the kitchen during class sessions every Sunday morning. Please join us. Please take fellowship outside of the kitchen as there is a class directly next to the kitchen.
As a congregation, we're going to read through the Bible in a year. Click here for the schedule for the current quarter and the full year.
We ask all adults to register for the class they wish to attend. Registration is online; links are included below.
Why do I need to sign up for an Adult Bible Class?
In an attempt to have more options and smaller discussion-oriented classes, we need all adults to sign up for the particular study they are interested in. All adults have the freedom to choose topic, teacher, and individuals they would like to study with. The sign ups will help us in two ways:
- Teachers will know how many they have and will be able to pray for each participant by name.
- We will be able to maintain a smaller (15-20 person) class size to provide an environment where more discussion and feeding on God’s Word can take place.
We thank you for your cooperation in this new change. We hope all are encouraged to come and be a part of a Bible class to further their study of God’s Word in order to develop a more intimate relationship with Christ.

Christianity 101: Back to the Basics |
Phil McKinney |
Register |
Often we make assumptions that we all know what we need to know concerning God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the church and how it came to be, and even why we believe what we believe. Yet that is not always the case. Christianity 101 is designed to help individuals look back to some of the basic teachings of Christianity and what the foundations of Christian faith really are. This class is open to all but focused on helping those who want to answer some of the most basic questions concerning faith in Jesus Christ.

Renewed Strength - Isaiah 40-66 |

As God's people suffered in seemingly endless Babylonian captivity, they received an astounding message of comfort and hope: Isaiah 40-66. God promised "those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." What does that mean to us today? Especially for those raising young children, this passage provides us with the profound support of knowing that God WILL act, in his own timing, in surprising and beautiful ways, to bring about his and our best longings and dreams.
Come join us as we study and learn together from this marvelous passage, and especially to encourage each other as parents who want to
follow in God's ways as we raise our children. We will examine three questions throughout the class:
- How do we make the reality and comforting presence of God seem more near and at hand given the weariness of raising children?
- How do we know and communicate the Gospel of God's salvation through Jesus Christ in our families and larger faith communities?
- How can we (families, small groups, the church) be God's attractive "mountain of the Lord" community as we live out our daily lives in the midst of this world?

Hungry? The Not On Bread Alone class adds the meat and potatoes to your scriptural meal. Every week we will feast on new exciting scriptural meal served up from all the ingredients that come fresh from the daily Bible reading.
This class will be focused on our Bible reading plan and will change from Sunday to Sunday on what is taught. Our goal is to provide a class that will help attendees take some of what they read the past week a little further. This is an ongoing class; it will be using a number of teachers to facilitate the readings. The teachers will look only to the reading for the week prior to the Sunday chosen and design a onetime lesson based on something the Spirit moved them to teach on. Room 212
