Not at all. All kinds of issues are addressed at CR. Chemical dependencies are only one part.
Do I have to attend church here to participate in the program?
Absolutely not. You are welcome to attend any open CR event if you are 18 years or older, regardless of your church attendance.
What are the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles used by Celebrate Recovery?
The 12 Steps refers to guidelines established by Alcoholics Anonymous for: realizing the problem dealing with it, and following through with change. The 8 Recovery Principles are based on the Beatitudes in Matthew and were developed by Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church. They are Bible-based guidelines for recovery from any habit, hurt, and hang-up.
What is an Open Share Group?
Open share groups are opportunities for you to meet with others dealing with issues just like yours. These groups are open to everyone.
Do I have to talk and share?
Nope, you’re not required to share or will you be called upon to answer any questions.
What is a Step Study Group?
A Step Study Group uses the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles as its foundation; to work through each step in a structured group setting. This meeting is in addition to regular large group weekly meeting.
